Maine Elopement Photographers
Photojournalistic + Fine Art Documentation of elopements and small weddings in Maine
Maine is quickly becoming one of the most sought after places to elope in the US and with all of the stunning locations here it is easy to see why! There are so many locations to choose from including the stunning, rocky coastline to the beaches, forests, hills, mountains, city — Maine has so much to offer! Elopements are a great way to get married in an easy way, a celebration of your love in a stunning location and still as special and magical as having a big wedding. We eloped 20 years ago in New York City and still have no regrets about doing it at all! Elopements can be just the two of you and an officiant and photographers, or you can also invite a few close family members or friends to be a part of it as well. There are no rules and you can make it anything you want it to be.
In the last 17 years we have worked as photographers in Maine we have shot many elopements and have lots of resources and locations to recommend as you plan your Maine elopement. We love helping our couples plan their elopement, including suggesting the most amazing locations, creating a timeline of the day to get the best light, resources on what to wear, vendor suggestions and more. We want you to have an amazing day and something that is truly unforgettable, and want to document it all so you have the photos to remember every detail as well as share with your friends and family.
We’ve included some information below as a guide to help you plan. For more information or if you’re interested in booking us please contact us, we’d love to speak with you!

A FEW MAINE ELOPEMENT IDEAS
Some unique ways to elope in Maine include:
-A short ceremony at Portland’s stunning City Hall followed by portraits around town and then drinks/food at one of the great restaurants or bars in the Old Port area. You could even go bowling later at Bayside Bowl or a fun night at Acadia playing video games! Both places make for cool photos! Check out a similar elopement we shot here!
-A coastal elopement in one of the many beautiful areas in Southern Maine (York, Ogunquit, Cape Elizabeth area all gorgeous!), followed by lobster rolls at a lobster shack (we recommend the one at Two Lights in Cape Elizabeth)!
-A forest, fields or mountaintop ceremony within the trees followed by a picnic
-Head to an island like Peaks, Diamond or Monhegan for a unique adventure! Check out a Monhegan Island elopement we documented here!
-A winter elopement at Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth followed by a cozy dinner inside by a fire
-A small ceremony at the Children’s Chapel in Rockport, ME followed by dinner at a great Camden restaurant—we highly recommend both Long Grain and Primo Check out a Camden, Maine elopement that we shot here!
