We had been looking forward to Zakieh and Ryan's September wedding at one of our favorite venues in Maine, The Barn at Flanagan Farm, ever since we booked it! When their rehearsal dinner evening finally arrived there were some ominous looking clouds in the sky and though we met them a few minutes in advance of their dinner the sky opened up and started pouring. Fortunately it was a super quick rain storm and we were ale to go outside and do some quick portraits and saw not one--but two--rainbows in the sky. I think that right there was the sign that the weekend was going to be something magical.

Zakieh's wonderful sister Sherien runs Full Bloom Events, an event planning company in CT where she lives, and she did such an incredible, thoughtful job putting the wedding day together, getting all the details perfect and was an absolute joy to work with throughout the process. We also had the pleasure of working with Flowers by Justine for the first time and she immediately became one of my favorite vendors ever (after 11 years in this business that is saying a lot!). Not only did she do the most amazing job with the flowers and decor but she stepped in as Day of Coordinator too and was so incredibly helpful to us all day. We loved the gorgeous arbor and dreamy set up in the woods for their ceremony, the amazing dresses the bride and bridesmaids wore, the fashionable groomsmen, all of the beautiful little details that came together so perfect and of course--the people! Zakieh and Ryan are so lovely and their friends and family were an absolute blast, especially when it came time for the party! The party went late into the night when guests gathered by the fire to enjoy s'mores and late night food provided by Harvest Moon.

As usual I am always at a loss when I have to just choose a few photos to showcase and there are a ton here, but check out the highlights from the story of their day.
